A story.....with pictures.

Once upon a time, there was a pile of new yarn.

There was also an adorable, slightly new cat named Gunnar.

And a forgetful woman who left one alone with the other for just a few minutes.

And yet everyone lives happily ever after, because Gunnar is very cute and the woman loves him much, much more than she likes her yarn.

The end.

hee hee.

Billy prefers to tear apart paper bags. Especially the brown ones from the grocery store.

Why did you photograph the yarn in the first place? Oh, I see now, that is stand in yarn. Never mind.

RtN, I know, right? :-)

Hi Jo! The funny thing is, I've been procrastinating with my knitting (amongst other things) and then just decided to get started on a scarf Sunday night. When I got up in the morning, the thought crossed my mind that I'd left the yarn in an "exposed" position but that thought crossed right out of my mind, too. As they tend to do these days... Gunnar is such a sweet kitty, it's almost impossible to be too annoyed with him. Lucky him!

Hi Jill! Our grocery store only uses plastic bags, but I think I've got an IKEA paper bag around here somewhere... I'll dig it out and see what Gunnie does with it. Harry used to jump inside it and move it across the floor before clawing his way out. He and Billy really were soul brothers. And, yes, the photographs happened after the incident. A little staged fiction, if you like.

Hi Michele,

OT; but your note in an earlier post about the cracked rib probably not being cracked after all is really comforting right now, as I fear I have a busted rib now too, after a handrail on some slippery stairs banged me in the ribs. I already have at least one metatarsal fracture still healing (from Brentwood though; no ice there :p). I feel like I'm friggin 80! Oh and Gunnar is *very* cute, and has a great "Who, meeeee?" look going on there.

Hi Mel. I know cats aren't your favorite animals but I know you like dogs (so there's hope for you...heheh), and I think you might like little Gunnie if you met him. He's an easy guy, not too intrusive, totally silent (he doesn't speak, we don't know why), and he hasn't destroyed anything yet. Okay, except for that ball of yarn, but I wound it up again, so no problem. :-)
